We hope everyone is excited for the ninth annual Walk for Fun, Fitness and Funds!! To keep this tradition alive year after year, we need your help!! All students will participate in the Walk for Fun, Fitness and Funds during the school day on Friday, October 13th and we are asking all students to ask people for pledges. Enclosed in this packet is a pledge sheet to account for all of the pledges that you receive.
Be creative when asking for pledges. Ask family members, friends, neighbors or even your local businesses to get involved.
Your pledge forms are included in the attached envelope and pledges can be a flat donation (same amount no matter how many laps you complete) or a pledge amount per lap. All pledge forms are to be completed and returned on the day of the walk-a-thon. All funds pledged are to be returned to the school by Friday, October 20th to allow for anyone pledging on a per lap basis. Receipts are also included in the packet in case any of the individuals pledging require a receipt. If you need more pledge sheets or receipts, feel free to copy them or more can be requested.
Course – The course will be around the parking lot outside the school unless there is rain which will require us to move to the gym. Each walker is to complete as many laps as possible in the time allotted.
The following prizes will be awarded:
The walker who brings in the most pledges will receive a $50 Gift Card.
The classroom bringing in the most pledges (based on the average pledge amount per student) will receive an ice cream treat.
Popcorn and juice will be available during the event.
The following prizes will be awarded to all students based on the amount of pledges received (multiple prizes if the student reaches different levels):
At least $25 in Pledges – Two free a la carte passes and entered into the drawing for Principal for a Day
At least $50 in Pledges – One out of uniform certificate
